Privacy Policy Statement

Wang On Properties Limited and its subsidiaries and associated companies (collectively the “Group” or “We”) strive to safeguard the personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”) provided by its customers or visitors who submit paper documents or forms containing Personal Data, browse our websites, use our mobile applications (“Apps”), or visit our premises where CCTV cameras are installed (collectively the “Users” or “You”). The Group endeavours to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486 of the laws of the Hong Kong) (the “Ordinance”) and sets out below our Privacy Policy and Personal Information Collection Statement.

The collection of Personal Data is governed by the Group’s Personal Information Collection Statement. Personal Data (as defined in the Personal Information Collection Statement) will be stored securely in the Group’s systems and the Group will take all practicable steps to ensure that the Personal Data is not retained longer than is necessary for fulfilling the purpose (including any directly related purpose) for which it was collected or will be used. Only authorized staff of the Group shall have access to your Personal Data. The Group will not release your Personal Data to parties outside the Group except as set out in the Personal Information Collection Statement. You have the right to request access to and correction of your Personal Data in accordance with the procedure set out in the Personal Information Collection Statement.

We may use encrypted data to store and, in some cases, track information about Users to provide customized information on our websites and Apps. Such information may include Users’ login names navigation patterns and preferences. This may occur without the Users being aware of it. Generally, relevant Personal Data are used to estimate audience size, track Users’ participation in promotional activities, analyze frequency and usage patterns of our services, measure traffic flows, and prioritize the information presented to Users.

The Group will not use your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes or send promotional materials to you without obtaining your prior consent.

The Group’s websites and Apps may contain content, services or links provided by third parties. Those third parties may collect Personal Data from you in accordance with their own privacy policies. The Group’s Privacy Policy and Personal Information Collection Statement do not extend to such third parties, and we accept no responsibility or liability for their practices.

While the Group makes every effort to protect the Personal Data of the Users, we cannot guarantee absolute security due to inherent nature of the internet and mobile applications. When providing Personal Data to the Group, you should protect your personal data against unauthorized or accidental access, as the personal data is disclosed at your own risk.

This Privacy Policy Statement is subject to change. Any changes will be posted on the Group’s websites and Apps. Your continued use of our websites or Apps after the posting of such changes indicates your acceptance to the same.

In case of any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of this Privacy Policy Statement, the English version shall prevail.

Personal Information Collection Statement

This Personal Information Collection Statement sets out the purposes for which Personal Data will be used upon collection, the basis of your agreement with the Group in respect of such use, and your rights under the Ordinance.

If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain your parents or guardian’s consent before providing any Personal Data to the Group.

This Personal Information Collection Statement is subject to change. Any changes will be posted on the Group’s websites and Apps. Your continued use of our websites or Apps after the posting of such changes indicates your acceptance to the same.

Collection of Personal Data

The Users may be asked to provide the following Personal Data:

1. Personal information such as name, gender, date of birth, nationality, family status, identification document number;
2. Contact information such as telephone number, mailing address, email address, fax number;
3. Occupation information such as employer’s name, job title;
4. Payment information such as card number, cardholder name, expiry date, security code, billing address;
5. Other non-personally identifiable information such as personal preference, comment, response to promotional offer and survey;
6. IP address of the computer and phone number of the phone used to visit the Group’s web sites or the Apps.

Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Data

The Personal Data collected is or will be used by the Group for the following purposes:

1. Matters in relation to the supply of products or services to you;
2. Providing you with information in respect of the marketing, offers or promotional activities of the Group’s products and services;
3. For payment purposes in relation to the products, services supplied or to be supplied;
4. Communicating with you by WhatsApp, WeChat, telephone, email, post, fax or other social media;
5. Following up your inquiry, comment, application that you might have submitted to the Group through its websites, Apps or other means;
6. The Group’s marketing research;
7. For the use of the membership clubs or reward programmes managed by the Group;
8. For dispute resolutions, debt collection, monetary or other claims and legal proceedings;
9. Any other incidental or associated purposes relating to the above purposes.

The Group intends to use your Personal Data for delivering information or materials to you in respect of products, services, promotional and marketing events which you may be interested in and to conduct direct marketing in relation to properties including residential, offices, commercial and industrial buildings, shops, shopping malls and the events therein; property management services; education services, financial services, retail products or services. The Group will not use the Personal Data for direct marketing unless it has received your consent. Your consent may be communicated to the Group at the time when you provide your Personal Data in writing or through the Group’s websites or Apps.

The Group will not knowingly or intentionally use, share or sell your Personal Data in any way unrelated to the purposes set out above.

Please note that it is mandatory for you to provide Personal Data marked with asterisks. In the event that you do not provide such Personal Data, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services.

Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data

Your Personal Data may be transferred or disclosed to other members of the Group, and to persons or entities that the Group considers necessary to engage for the provision of its products or services, or for purposes directly related to those set out above.

The Group may also disclose your Personal Data when required by law or court order of any jurisdiction, or as requested by any government or law enforcement agencies, or when disclosure is necessary to protect the rights of the Group (such as disclosing to debt collectors or lawyers in debt collection, monetary or other claims and legal proceedings) or in circumstances which the Group reasonably believe to be related to the purposes set out above.

Access to Personal Data and Other Rights

Subject to verification of your identity, you have the right to request access to and correction of your Personal Data held by the Group in accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance.
